Does anybody know if it should be an issue getting leeches in Ely in the next few weeks? I sometimes pick up bait in Duluth, but would rather spend the money in town if I can.

What do you suggest a guy do when you check in a week ahead of time, and then call night before, offer to pay ahead of time. The response is no we'll have plenty left tomorrow and get there at 9 am the next day and they are out?

Or when you ask for redtails and they say they got them, and you get there and its 3-inch fatheads lol.

Yes I’ll leave my house at midnight going forward to make sure that doesn’t happen again…..or I can just support a local to me bait shop as well. Point being there is a lot of items to get in Ely if you forget or want to support small business. If they are out of bait and it’s something you want/can’t live without. Your next options to get bait is 60+ minutes each way to get bait.

I am near Duluth and leeches have not been abundant. No jumbos in the area as far as I can tell. We weren't even able to buy a full pound of larges at our normal shop. Hopefully you can find what you are looking for.

yes, thats what I was getting wind of as far as availability went.. it was really hit or miss.
