Good day all!
I'm doing my homework to prepare for my second ever trip in September. I've used the search tool to find lots of useful lake- and season-specific info, but I'm lacking a lot of the basic rigging, tackle, and species specific stuff. I'm good enough at fishing for largemouth bass at home in Missouri to stay entertained, but I learned those skills don't amount to much last summer!

Is there a list of resources that already exists somewhere that I missed? If not, any books or online print/video content that is good for the basics?
At one point I saw a person post that they had some old articles they'd written and were willing to share. I wasn't smart enough to ask for them then, I'd love to take a peek at some of those!

Thanks in advance!

QueticoMike is the user that will send out his articles. They're pretty helpful for exactly the kind of information that you're looking for. I would look him up in the
Member Directory and drop him a note.

Here is an old thread I have bookmarked in the past because it’s phenomenal for breaking down the basics for walleye specific fishing.

I found him in the Member Profile page but I do not see a button to message him directly. Is that because I'm a relatively new member, or am I just not seeing it?
Thanks again.

Probably the most iconic BWCA fishing guide ever written.

Mid September, Lake One EP headed to Alice. Going to fish primarily, focusing on northern Insula, Alice, and at least one day trip to Fishdance for the pictographs. And fishing. :)
