Anyone have relatively recent intel on Bog Lake? I'm going in the near future, wondering about campsite(s), portage, anything else pertinent.
One map I peeked at makes it look like there is no open campsite!
Thanks.

The portage into Bog Lake is close to a mile despite what the maps say. There are 3 open sites on the lake. Two were affected by the Pagami Creek Fire. The site on the west side of the lake is your best option-although it’s an average site at best. It was not affected by the fire. The two other sites offer no shade or trees to hang a pack. Walleye fishing is usually very good. Most fish are on the small side, but there are some decent ones in there. I day trip into Bog 4-5 times during the summer and I rarely see anyone.

I have not been there. But there are a couple of youtube videos from last year by Graves Up North and Jodi Middendorf that give a good idea about the portage, campsites, and fishing.

couple of those campsites were nice before the fire, I think that changed things.
