1- package of Oreo cookies
1- 8 oz. package of cream cheese softened

I put the Oreo cookies in my food processor. Chop or grind them until there are no chunks.

In a bowl mix the cream cheese with the cookie crumbs until all the crumbs are moist. You can microwave the cream cheese a few seconds to make it real soft if you need to.

Roll into the shape of "Moose Plums" and refrigerate. I tripled the recipe for Wing Night. It made around 120 plums.

(We are what we eat doesn't fit real well with this recipe.)

We thought of you all the while we made them.

Sorry you missed the tasting and the great looks I got when I asked the Wing Nighters to EAT one!

No, The girls and I licked it out first. KIDDING!!!

Yes, grind the cookies with the cream filling. Another thing. I used the original Oreo's not the double stuffed ones.

i have made these before but rolled them in balls and dipped them in white chocolate. Now its a must.....I will be making Reindeer plums for Christmas Candy!

Hmmm. I may have to try it with the Dblstuffed, they may end up looking even more 'realistic' hahaha

you got the shape right for both of those photos subjects. :)

Kendra, you had the color right if you look in the picture where someone is holding them in their hands. It must vary. ;-)

Maybe the real ones are darker when they're fresh.

As far as the wolf scat snacks. Use shredded wheat to simulate hair. :)
There's an idea now have at it.

shreaded wheat....priceless!

09/17/2010 09:00PM
add some fresh grated ginger for fuzzy.

thanks, Kendra

I made my first batch today and can't wait to go gross out the neighbor kids:
I'll put 'em in a box on waxed paper
"look what I found up in BWCA"
"someone told me you can tell by smelling, what the animal ate"
"humm, can't smell anything..."
then maybe a little lick
then a bite
then "my phone is ringing, I've been waiting for this call..."
watch the kids from the patio as I pretend to talk on the phone.

lol

Have fun with it. I did.

bump.

even tho it appears to be simple, I don't want to lose this recipe until I can try it out on my kids :)
