If you carry a fixed blade knife, what do you carry? Stainless? High Carbon Steel?
Lets see them!
I carry either a Bark River Mini Northstar or a Liten Bror. One is CP3V super steel and another is a high end stainless. Both are convex grinds and are hair splitting sharp.

A.G.Russell Deer Hunter ASU8 stainless, A.G.Russell Bird and Trout D2 carbon, Schrade Old Timer Sharp Finger 1095 carbon. Set on a 10x4 DMT Duo Sharp.
On canoe trips, the A.G.Russell's get attached to packs, and the Sharp Finger is on me.

Nice looking knives guys. For carrying all the time or just the bdub? I've got a Kabar I like to bring up there.

I bought my Barkies from Knives ship free or ebay. Here is a link of a great knife maker from MO that explains the convex grind very well. (www.turleyknives.com) Look at the section on grind heights. I like the convex grind over the scandi grind for a woods knife as it is less likely to chip when batoning or chopping. I only carry a knife inn the woods. I do not even carry a pocket knife daily.

A couple of new knives I'm looking at: (The wait list at Turley knives is just too darn long)
BOB Fieldcraft ( at TOPSknives.com)
HEFT 6" (at DPXgear.com) comes in a 4" too.

Here's my latest personal user.
W2 tool steel and India Sambar Stag with stainless fittings:
I'll have to say it's what I do for a living and I hate to post too many and get confused with being "commercial".

Yep - that's me.
I've been on the water since I was a kid.
I now live in northern Minnesota where I can get in the canoe with a lot less time notice!!

A Anza knife I picked up in Grand Marais last summer. Still has the price tag attached to the sheath. I don't see these knifes too often. I really like the size and feel of this knife in the hand. They are made out of old files.
Wind bound on wood lake and decided to take some equipment pictures. My solo trips seem to get a lot of pictures of equipment. Anyway this is my Anza, Kershaw responder that I wear on my PFD, Buck folding fillet knife and Gerber multi tool.

You will regret this! No comparison to Andy Roy stuff. The MORA wil be fine but no batoning! LOL!
