WowI Those are incredible photos Butthead. I like the one of your new canoe and the still waters.
How did you like the new canoe for tripping?
The overlook photo must be on the Vera to Ensign portage. Beautiful is right.
The weather must have been great.
Glad you had a wonderful trip.

Float Stanley is at that age were he just wants to hang out where the beer is.

All of the above! Paddled thru boat wakes on Moose and New
found, and into whitecaps over 20 inches on Birch did 15+ miles to camp 1st day without trouble, only had to adjust ballast to the back to turn down wind (and it took a bit!). Very happy with it as a long distance tripper (load at > 240 lbs. total)! Fished with flygear, no problem but no real hits. Took no water over the sides, and kept up with PJ's Magic handily. I'm very happy with the choice!
Thanks!

Ahhhhhh.....

heaven.

Question...what size is the ribbon rock? Can you please compare it to something that I might know?

About 3 ft long, 2 ft wide, 1 1/2 ft high.

Great pictures. So did you pick the Advantage over, say, the Prism for better speed?

What breed is your dog (Baxter?). He always looks happy and well-behaved in the canoe. Just thinking about a canine outdoors companion . . .

05/25/2011 02:24PM
Didn't like paddling the Prism, wanted a distance tripper similar to the Magic the Advantage is just what I wanted! Baxter is PJ's companion, mixed breed, and is a very good pooch in the canoe, and out for that matter!

Very likely PINETREE, did the canoes look like this, Blackgold Magic and a skincoat kevlar Advantage?

Great stuff Ken. You certainly have a good eye for photos. I am glad you like the new ride. Wenonah makes some fine canoes.
