Seems like I am the only one posting in the builders group. Where is everyone?
I was given a tip (from Ken Koscik) on how to get a smooth feel to the last varnish coat (laying low the dust bunnies)....... using low tech. I am going to give it a try....... have nothing to lose but a paper bag.
Brown paper bag trick

I am gonna have to try that. Super fine steel wool works great too, just rub it down and then wipe with mineral spirits: leaves a very smooth finish, it actually feels like glass.
Who I am precedes what I do, not the other way around.

I tried the trick on cured "13-day-old-varnish". Basically the trick works as advertised. I will go no further on working this hull.
Today, I took my Merlin down to the "cop-shop" to have my HIN verified. Tomorrow, I'll get my sticker and then she gets launched.
