Is there nothing going on out there?
I did try my hand at lofting the Prospector Ranger 15' from the Bear Mountain Tables. I am very pleased with the curves and the dimensions on my drawings match the specs..... that is good.
Ben (Wables) your quick lofting tips were a God send. Everything fell into place once I drew the grid and started playing around with plotting tabular values. Thank you.

My project is on hold until I move into remodeled family relic of a house. But it sure is nice to walk into the garage and see the forms, mounted and ready for me when I have time.
Who I am precedes what I do, not the other way around.

I'm glad my tips helped! My building has been slowed down for the past month by two BWCA trips and a baby. I will be back in the saddle soon!
"Hold on, I think I can get in without getting my feet wet."....SPLASH...

I'm working on a coffee table made from the black walnut tree in my back yard and some triangular flag cases for the kids in my church that are in the armed services.
I might start on another double bladed 'canyak' paddle and try to shave some weight off the one I currently use but no plans to build another canoe yet.

I've been camping and trying to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I usually don't spend much time in the shop during the summer. Took me three months to install seats and stem bands on the wood canvas due to other distractions.
Hopefully there will be another build this winter to report on.

New potential builder here. I downloaded plans for a Passage and the building book from Northwest this week. My only problem is going to be explaining to my wife why I am building a @&%$#@& canoe instead of restoring the two motorcycles and one snowmobile sitting in the workshop. I look forward to learning from those here who have made this journey.

Still hoping to get some pics posted from this years project. I am building a 12-13 ft boat for my 11 year old son this winter/spring. He got the paddling bug at Scout camp last summer. Plans are from NWC. New boat Dennis is lofting, calling it the Tadpole, for smaller paddlers.

I'm still here!
We moved to a new place and have been too busy getting settled to do much else. I did a 50 mile solo trip this past June in my 38 special. I was on some big water up in the area of Knife Lake and beyond. It was a lotta work for an old guy of 64 years. Some real long and tough portages but I made it and am glad I did it. I would like to go again but I might like to solo with at least one other person as it is quite boring when going it alone.
