Evidently, if you click on the question marks, you can still see the pictures. So enjoy!

Well, I'm glad the canoe worked out at least!

That was a wet trip. The day you started things really got soaked here in Ely, it sounds like the same thing happened up there. I was out in southern Quetico starting Saturday and the wind Sunday was pretty bad - with two solos we stayed put that day. Glad you made it out okay, the SRQ was probably just the thing for those conditions.

You'll have to try another Quetico trip - third time's the charm.

The steri pen works in the sun, its just hard to see. I wrap a shirt or anything else around it with in the sun, that way you can see it.

Great trip report, weather not so much! The powdered eggs as fish breading was interesting, I may look into that a bit more. Glad you were able to get some fishing in depsite mother nature not cooperating. What kind of rain gear do you have and what did you coat it with?

We both have Mountain Hardwear from thrifty outfitters. Mine is Mountain Hardwear (fabric is Conduit, which is Mountain Hardwears "gortex") and my wife's is Mountain Hardwear (fabric is gortex). We washed them with Revivex (which was the type of wash/treatment that Mountain Hard Wear suggests using) and then we sprayed them with the Revivex spray and put them in the dryer as indicated on the directions. Any suggestions with this?

We used the powdered eggs from Cache Lake as the dip before we used the breading for the fish. Sure makes the breading stick a lot better!
