Looks like the weather will be warming up just in time for our hot tenting camping trip this year. We've got a group of 6 this year and we were kind of hoping to test our limits a little with some of the current cold temps. Oh well, maybe we'll enjoy ourselves a little more with the mild temps. Does anyone know the current ice conditions on Wood Lake and the surrounding lakes attached? Slush?? Thanks! I'll be posting a video of the trip when we return.
I was out on Wood 2 weeks ago and it was good ice until we hit the middle of the lake. We hit 2 patches of ankle-deep slush, the patches lasted for about 100 yards or so. I'm guessing you won't have any issues when you go in.
