Have a great trip.

It's ok to talk to the chipmunks, yourself, no one or someone far away.

Be sure to take the time to eat enough and drink enough water-remind yourself and or force yourself.

Take time to reflect on whatever, life, wife, family, friends, work, world peace, the beauty that surrounds you-there are far to few opportunities in life to be one with only your thoughts. Take advantage of that.

Most of all relax and have a great time.

Maybe bring a couple extra sheets of TP in case your wind bound a couple days.

Tie your canoe at night.

Don't get lost going to the John at night.

Been thinking about him as I look at the forecast. He has really had some lousy weather. You kind of expect it this time of year but you also get some incredibly nice days. That hasn't happened in the last week and next weeks forecast is a bit better but not great.

42 degrees and raining on my entry day. The rest of the week looks good. Guess I will be packing the paddling gloves and wool hat!

Besides just being miserable, miserable weather can play havoc with travel plans.

05/15/2015 03:56PM
He's moving around most every day. He was on Gabi and got to Crooked just south of Gillis. He's covered some ground considering.

Mark seems to have picked up his game as the trip progress's. He was on rib lake last night and already on the move today. He stayed at a site I was heading for once and I gave it up to a guy and his grandson as they were struggling. I ended up on Karl. It would be nice to have a weather radio right now as Mark is likely going to encounter thunderstorms that will go through tomorrow. Time to huncker down Mark!

The weather is always a roll of the dice but having most of a trip dealing with bad conditions can wear on a person. Unless you're BeaV of course. :)

05/19/2015 04:31AM
It looks like I can send him a message. So gave him a heads up for another chilly night Tuesday but improving after that.

He spent Monday night at South Temperance.

I woke up to snow at my place. So I wonder what it's like there.

05/19/2015 06:13AM
Sure hope he brought plenty of warm clothes to wear, that guy doesn't have the extra body insulation many of us are blessed with. I have to admit I have thought about him almost daily since this weather has turn a lot less than pleasant. NOTE to Mrs Housty9 he's a tough smart guy and he's doing well. FRED

05/19/2015 06:57AM
I've been wondering how it's all going for him. It will be interesting to get his view of everything after he gets out.

05/19/2015 10:02PM
I'm all about a variation in weather...but yuck!!!

And that's another thing about extended shoulder season trips...you have to prepare for those extremes...and pack more than you usually would.
