Has anyone tried a cancooker in the Bwca. It's not how I typically prepare meals while tripping but I received one at a sportsman banquet and it has me intrigued.

Seems like this is for fresh food, especially vegetables. Other than a headcof cabbage one trip, usually not carrying that weight.

Looked at them in stores, seemed to me just a fancy branded stew pot. Add ingredients, enough liquid to cover the bottom, bring to a boil/steam, reduce heat, and cook with steam. Think crock pot but at a higher temp. quicker cook time. Smallest is way too large for my use.
Is it oven safe? If it is try braising a meal in the oven with it, better temperature control/even heating, than on top of a burner.
