Can someone point me in the right direction to find and follow all of the posts that I make? Currently, in order to follow up on my posts and see what people's answers are, I have to scroll page by page looking for my Login name...

Am I missing something? Is there a way to view all posts that one has made??

Thanks for any help or advice on this.

Sadly, no. For as wonderful as it is that you have found a site as fantastic as this one for all things paddling (Welcome!), it lacks many of the features seen on the message boards on other sites. Finding one's own personal posts in chronological order would be a major plus... helpful to know where you previously commented on a topic currently being discussed (again), for example.

The best I can suggest is to do a search for your own username, and possibly will need to include some topic, also. Sometimes (maybe this has been fixed?), you would only get results when another user mentioned your name, as in a quoted reply.

If you subscribe to the thread below the reply box, you'll receive updates on it.

Schweady's suggestion to search for your username and boonie's suggestion to subscribe to the thread are the only ways I know of to find your posts quickly. However, when using the search function, enclose your username with quotation marks (i.e. "Leathernecks"). If you do not do that, the search will provide other posts that include the word Leatherneck (no "s").

Boonie nailed it. If you want to follow a thread that you're involved in, click the "Subscribe" button.

Still no help for that time when you are looking for what words of wisdom you had in that thread from 3 years back on insulated sleeping pads...

If you have a username that is not a commonly used word, you can use a Google search limited to this site ("site:BWCA.com xxxxxxx")

Two features in betas that are currently limited to current supporters.

1) At the bottom of a thread is a "Subscribe To This Thread" link that allows you to subscribe to a thread without having to

2) There is a new "Search my Posts" feature in the Community Links in the right column which will allow you to find threads you posted on in the past.

I use that method a lot, on various sites. Want to find the campground reservations for Iron Lake on Recreation dot gov? Search for "site:https://www.recreation.gov iron" in google and hit enter. Notice the space between gov and iron.

On BWCA.com it works best to leave all the stuff off before bwca.com -

site:bwca.com leathernecks

When I did this it came back with 8 results.

Nice! Much appreciated!

There are a couple of quirks:
1-Occasionally, it doesn't recognize that there is text entered in the 'Search for:' box, and it will complain "You must select a search type." It seems like when some of the check boxes are selected, it forgets that any text was entered there.
2-Going back to re-enter text will erase the 'Forums to Search:' selection (seems related to #1)
And a minor one... 3-Selecting 'All' in the 'Fields to Search:' or 'Forums to Search:' doesn't un-check/clear any other selections previously made.

All of these are easily resolved by the user; it just takes a re-entering or re-checking.

As far as the results, they simply take you to the thread and not to any specific personal post, but that's understandable. Great progress so far!

A "Mark all threads read" button would sure help knowing what was new.

Thanks for all of your responses and help. This site is awesome, and for two years I have been reading the wealth of knowledge and friendly advice that you guys provide. This June my sons and I are finally headed into the BWCA for our first run, hoping to find solitude, strengthen our ties, and catch some fish!
