Today was the day the girls had picked for a dawn paddle. We awoke at 2am, which felt way too early yesterday’s portaging! It turned out to be a beautiful sunrise a day though. We paddled down through the Sturgeon narrows and had breakfast there. Would have loved to have spent more time on Sturgeon, but everyone was dead tired. There are two short portages with a long pond in between Sturgeon (south) and Lonely. Knocked off early at campsite PU on Lonely. It’s a very nice site with a 270 degree view of the lake and a nice little bay. There is a tree down across half of the camp, but there is still plenty of room on the north end. It made for a nice relaxing afternoon at camp after two long days. The weather was still holding at beautiful!
