06/28/2021 10:10PM It looks like the older (2005) permits list mailing but the newer ones (2015 revision) just say return to a FS office. Of course, mailing is a form of returning. I do sometimes drop off a permit after the fact when not starting where the entry point box is located. But I carried it already signed so it is clear that I have agreed to the rules. I didn’t realize that was actually allowed. |

06/28/2021 06:36PM This was just discussed here. Im pretty certain you can use the same permit for consecutive days from same EP. And you can mail in the USF part after your trip, just have your copy with you. Its all on the permit. Permit |

06/28/2021 12:17PM You are supposed to drop off one copy of the permit at the EP or a forest service station before you start paddling. The permits have a carbon copy so there are two pages with the same info. You can do a permit for day trips on consecutive days from the same EP. Then you drop it off before the first day. |

06/28/2021 12:08PM We'll be doing some car camping at Flour Lake Campground and Trails End Campground and planning on doing day trips from those places. From what I've been reading, it sounds like I can pick up a handful of day use permits from a forest service station and drop them off after we are done day tripping. Or will I have to visit the kiosk at an entry point each day? |
