So, admittedly, I drifted away from canoeing for a bit; life got in the way. I am finally getting back at it so I naturally came home to the flying moose. I remember spending hours in chat just chewing the fat with some really great folks, however, I see that we aren't so chatty anymore? Is this a generational thing going on? Is there a flying moose chat app I am not aware of? Has COVID finally driven everyone mad?
I always thought that the chat really gelled this place together like a family; it's where you really got to know people.
My point is: I miss it. so get your butts back in there!

Who I am precedes what I do, not the other way around.

Agree with canoearoo, Jan was king of the chat room. It was a lot of fun to go there on a Friday or Saturday night. Lots of nights we would have 10-20 people chatting.
I would suggest you make a post to announce that you invite people tonight at 8 PM in the general discussion forum, then see what happens.
Chat Room Pro-tip.
You can log into the chat room so others know that there is someone in there. Others can see how many are in there and who is in there without logging in. Once that you are logged in, you can go to other websites, or emails and then click back in to chat without logging out. You can bounce back and forth without logging out of the chat room. So just log in and stay logged into chat and see if others come into the chat room and talk. If others see there are people logged into chat they might just come in and chat. But if nobody is there people will not go there to start with. Build it and they will come.
