I would like to join a dedicated bunch of sober fishing folks who might be hitting the Seagull/South Arm Knife area in June 2019. I'm just thinking ahead. I am fully equipped. I'm just willing to make some new friends - especially if they have any experience in this area, as I do not. I have a commitment on June 7-8-9 in Atlanta, but could be at Seagull on the 12th or 13th. Hopefully. I don't drink or smoke. I carry my own weight and hammock camp. Just putting this out there.
Hello Karl I am thinking about trying a trip this year. I am 55 and I have had a few surgeries. Knee and hip and two rotator cuff surgeries in the last 6 months. I am looking for a easy going trip can carry my weight. Have used this partner finder a few times and I have good luck. I don't drink. Smoke cigars but not a lot. Been up to the bdub a few times. Used to go up as a kid with my Dad when I was in my teens. I have all of my own gear and then some. I live in the quad cities area in Illinois. Let me know if you would like to talk and maybe we can get together.
Lots of stuff up in the air this spring. But I usually go around this week. I have a solo canoe as well as a slightly heavy (60lb?) canoe. I would prefer the solo if I tag along. I tripped with plumbob a few years ago. He is easy to get along with. Bob, if you find something you need gear-wise let me know. Pete
Without the bad times, the good times wouldn't seem so good.
Since I posted this I reconnected with an old high school buddy and locked him in as my canoe mate. We'll be leaving out of #55 on 14 June for a trip to SAK and surrounding lakes for a fishing focused trip. If that date suited anyone - and you had your own permit - we could share fishing success for the following 10 days or so. If I can secure a permit for that date we'll be spending the night at Seagull outfitters on the 13th. Look us up. We're all about fish.
Karl I just got word from my doctor's office and they want to go and try to fix my hip that I just had put in. Don't think I will be able to go this year.
