TB. Another amazing trip report. As always, it was a joy to read and thank you for the kind words. I really do like Pillsbury and now you have a reason to get back to that area.
Big duckling and I were there a week earlier than you and had to abort our plan to go to Meeds from Caribou because that portage was a raging river. The water went down a lot in a week by the time you were there. All of those rocks near Aurora where she is sitting in the photo were under water and I couldn’t walk up against the current.

Thank you for the compliment and, once again, for your many valued contributions to bwca.com over the years. They have not gone unappreciated.
Yes, Pillsbery Lake will have to be conquered on another adventure! ;) That's crazy that the water was that much higher but, recalling many of the harrowing stories from this spring, I certainly believe it.

Meeds is a nice lake and I 've been in that area a couple times. Once my little ones get older will likely be taking some trips into that area., Its just a nice easy trip for the young ones with good fishing on that lake. That portage from Meeds to Poplar is a long one though. Thanks for sharing your report!

I’m glad you got to have another encounter with Eastern Dwarf Mistletoe, and that I could help just a little bit in identifying it!
Your trip reports are gems, not just because of your writing and photography prowess, but because they show the love you have for your daughter. Your fatherly example inspires all of us that strive for strong relationships with our children.

How about that! There’s no limit to what can be discovered in canoe country.
