Once again I'll be hosting the Rockford, IL wing night! This year's event will be May 3-5. If you're reading this, you are invited.
The location is 6802 42nd st. Rockford, IL 61109. I will have signs up directing you into the park. A weekend of canoeing the Kishwaukee River and hanging out with other great people from this site! Saturday we will have a potluck dinner so bring a dish to pass. If you're interested, post here :)
We will do a trip down the Kishwakee Saturday before the potluck.

Sound great to be able to meet some BWCA fans in the Rockford area. The Kishwaukee river is a beautiful river perfect for an event like this. I am still hoping to get my fiance up to BW next year for the first time.It would be good for us to be able to converse with other people about different areas. I hope to make it there. If I don't, enjoy yourselves. Could you elaborate on the route? What park for enter and exit? Thanks.

Sigh, every year this ends up being on the same weekend as our Scout troop's pancake breakfast. Finally, this year the breakfast got moved a week earlier and then had to be moved back due to staffing issues.
Best I can say is I aspire to attend. If not this year, then some time in the future....

Ugh, and now the Cub Scout pack is camping that same weekend. One of these years I'll make the Rockford wing, but it doesn't appear to be soon....

Bonvicken: "I'm doing pretty well 1 week after my knee replacement surgery and expect to see you all there!
Time to start potluck planning...who's bringing what? Tony, you frying bluegill? I might do a couple pork butts on the smoker."
You know it George. Probably some crappie also. Can you bring the propane again? Heal up buddy.
