So I have a friend from another website who lives in Canada and she has a friend who lives in Washington. This Washington friend had a canoe trailer in Mn in storage for 5 years. She was done with storing it and asked my friend if she knew anyone nearby in Mn that wanted it. My friend asked me and I said yes and we went pick it up from her brother and it had a canoe strapped to the top. I texted her and she forgot she owned a canoe and said I could have that too! So now I have a 10 foot solo canoe and a sweet custom trailer. I couldn't let it all be free so I did send her something for it. Who knew I would have another canoe by the end of the day! Crazy!!!

Yes the trailer was what we thought we were picking up. But I didn't have a picture. She said it was made by her dad and he made it after a classic car. I had no idea what we were getting into lol.
This is my 6th canoe. First one that is small enough not to need a canoe license.

Which one of your kids is claiming the canoe for themselves? It does appear to be kid-sized.
"Said one of these men, long past seventy years of age: 'I could carry, paddle, walk and sing with any man I ever saw. I have been twenty-four years a canoe man, and forty-one years in service; no portage was ever too long for me. Fifty songs could I sing. I have saved the lives of ten voyageurs. Have had twelve wives and six running dogs. I spent all my money in pleasure. Were I young again, I should spend my life the same way over. There is no life so happy as a voyageur's life!'"

Canoearoo: "The kids already have a 12 foot canoe. And a few of them have their own kayaks. This one is all mine. It fits me perfectly to run it down to the river and paddle away when no one is looking lol"
Congrats on BOTH the canoe and the trailer! I'm just curious what the little boat is? I wish I were small enough to plant my backside in a tiny canoe and paddle off. Years ago I picked up a pair of Bell Bucktails for $600; not apiece, for both. I tried, but just too much of me for the little canoe! ENJOY IT!

nooneuno: "Great luck, cut off that tongue and extend it a few feet and you'll have a great trailer that will fit almost any boat...."
gotta agree there...needs a longer tongue. Find someone good that can do it for you. A 17 footer might struggle with that trailer.. you already have a bargain...

My husband can weld if we need to do that. I already have a few trailers, this one is just so cute! I think I will keep it this way for the smaller boats.. the kayaks, the 12 foot kids canoe and this 10 foot canoe.
