There have been some good guesses but nobody is correct yet! Attached is another photo (I apologize for the low quality shot) of the rocky elevation along the one of the shorelines of this lake. I was able to hike/climb up to the top of this feature as well.

Since I am new, I am rather unfamiliar with the etiquette of NTL posts (such as multiple guesses and post details). Since I am trying to make this a challenge and have hardly revealed many details, I'm fine if people want to re-guess.

Yes this is Morris Lake! Looking back on the photos, it is quite a pretty lake and would certainly be nice to revisit. Too bad it doesn't have a campsite but there are a couple sites just outside in James Bay. Otherwise it is viable as a day trip on a calm day on Sag (or else via boat/tow service).

I recall now that a friend recommended Morris Lake as a worthy day trip for a recent trip if there was time (turned out there wasn't), but I had forgotten what the draw was...now I see! How was the portage from James Bay?

I think this lake has been added to a few bucket lists on account of your pics :)
