It was Sept 25th of 2021 and I was at portage 420 which is the 7 rod portage between Sucker and Birch. I was waiting for a tow from one of the outfitters and I pulled out my Helinox sunset chair to sit in while I waited. The wind was up and things got crazy while trying to keep the tow boat off the rocks while my gear got loaded up. Unfortunately my blue/black Helinox sunset was left behind. I know it’s been years since this happened but it would be really great to possibly run across the folks that found my chair. Thank you

Lost: silver 4" folding knife. Missed zipping a pocket and it fell out between the end of the first portage east of Trail Lake and Dent Lake Tuesday (5/13). Almost certainly at one of the portage entry/exits. I know it's a long shot as there's not much traffic up there!

Found - tackle box, last week.
In Quetico. Might have been there overwinter...or maybe just a day.
Tell me where you lost it and what's in it and I will get it back to you.

I know this is a long shot but I lost my GoPro in Quetico last week. Either on the 49 rod portage from Iron lake to Mcree or on the Island portage above Rebecca falls.
Have some great memories on there and would love to have them to share for years.
If anyone has found it please send me a DM.

Lost: green and black disposable camera
in the Williams & Hall Outfitters dirt driveway.
it fell off the roof of the car at around 1:00pm Wednesday, June 4th.
It has about 3 pictures left on it.
Somebody working at the outfitter mentioned seeing it but didn't grab it, when I went back for it it was gone. I'd love to get the pictures of my first trip back. Appreciate any help. picture of the camera posted below if the link worked.

Found a old gold watch at campsite #23 at the north end of Little Loon on Saturday 5/31. We turned it into the Kawishiwi Ranger Station when we came out this past Wednesday. It was no longer running and the date on it was Tue 16, so assuming that was set correctly, the last Tuesday the 16th was in July 2024 so it may have been lost a very long time.

Where in Quetico? Reason I ask is this message I'm reposting from someone on FB about Reis Grams camo tacklebox. (Reis Grams and another person lost their lives on near Crooked Lake Falls last year).

Good evening! I have a huge ask for this community with hopes of a good outcome.
We were portaging from Boulder bay into Agnes and left behind a camouflage tackle box about the size of a rectangle Kleenex box.
This isn’t just any tackle box but it is Reis Grams tackle box who we lost in the curtain falls accident up there last year.
We are hoping someone will come across it and turn it into an outfitter or contact me directly so we can get it back.
Please message me directly if you have any info. We would love to reunite it with the family ??

LynnOK: "Where in Quetico?"
I assume you are asking me - the one I found is clear plastic, not camo...unlikely to be the same one - and was not found on Iron or Crooked. Hope that one gets tracked down.

My son left a clear 10L dry bag with his medication, 2-15 ft NRS straps, and miscellaneous items just north of the west side of the Indian portage yesterday, May 15 about 12 pm. He took a short trail north off the main portage to fish the bay on the west side of the portage. Thanks in advance!

I lost a black iphone somewhere on our trip around Clear Lake or the Kawishiwi River, maybe on the 140 rod or the 210 rod portages doing the loop/triangle. We started in Lake 1. Phone has a picure of a baby in a carseat with "good looks courtesy of mom) on his shirt. If anyone finds it, my cell is 720-556-5612. Thanks!

To clarify, the clear dry bag at Indian Portage between Birch and Sucker/Newfound, has "Walker #2" on it, and may have my phone number on it, will pay to get it sent back to me! Thanks folks, happy paddling! Appreciate the site and contributors.

Lost: Lime green Snap On micro torch left on the third campsite up on the eastern side of Agnes in BWCA from the creek entrance on the southern end. Most likely on the ground near the firepit. Sit it down to load gear in tackle backpack and pretty sure it is still sitting there.
This is what it looks like...

Lost:
I lost my new iPhone 16 pro on a Horseshoe Lake campsite last weekend (6/15/25). Lake site #2, Campsite #673 (the big site). Just north of the fire grate, there are 2 large trees that span across the trail leading down to a canoe landing. I had a hammock set up there and I’m almost positive my phone must be in the bushes below where the hammock was set up. It’s over a hill so it could’ve possibly rolled down the hill a bit. That’s the only place I can think of where we wouldn’t have seen it on our departure sweep. My friend also lost his wedding ring at the same site. No idea where that could be but his tent was in the main clearing right off the path to the latrine. If anyone finds either let me know! I’m sure we could figure out a reward!$

This one is a long shot.
Lost, likely in the water...a men's gold wedding band, McAree lake in Quetico.
One of the guys on my trip lost his; he thinks it came off while swimming. Yea, almost not even worth mentioning, but it could be in shallow water close to the canoe landing.
Anyway, on the off chance someone finds it, I can connect you to him as he's not on this board.

A teenage boy lost an iPhone on our trip between 6/23-6/27. He believes he may have dropped it on a portage between Cross Bay, Rib, or Lower Lake George. It was last seen on 6/23. If it has been found, please let me know: 319-230-2903. Thanks!

Wow! Thank you for finding my watch Noodle and for taking it to the ranger station in Ely. So kind of you.
I saw your post and thought that had to be my watch. I called the ranger station, described the watch to a nice ranger named Jess and asked if they could mail it to me if I gave them my cc number. She said they couldn’t do that, someone would need to pick it up. I texted my brother in law who was coming out of the BW on a Friday and asked him to pick it up but they got to the station after they were closed.
I now called Steve Nelson, owner of Spirit of the Wilderness, explained the situation to him and asked if he could pick it up and mail it to me. Steve, being the great guy that he is, said he would take care of it. I should add that I have known Steve for over 30 years and we use Spirit anytime we put in out of Ely.
I received the watch in the mail two days ago, replaced the battery and it runs like new! So after spending a year in the elements of the BW, including a full winter, it works.
My sons and grandkids can’t believe it. The watch was found by Noodle, posted in this L&F, taken to the Ely ranger station, picked up by Steve and mailed back to me and it works! Thank you again Noodle and Steve for making this happen. By the way, the watch is a Citizen.

On 6/30 I left a Leatherman sitting on a boulder on the Devil's Cascade Portage on the Little Indian Sioux River. As you travel from South to North on the portage there is a use trail on the left that runs down to the water, maybe 75 yards from the south take-out. If you follow that use trail all the way to the river, just below part of the cascade the Leatherman should be pretty obvious. I set it down thinking "this is a place where I will remember it" and then of course I didn't. Happy to pay to ship it home to Wisconsin.

Update: the owners contacted me through the info I left with Tuscarora Outfitters and the bag will get back to them this week.
FOUND: 7/4/25 at middle campsite on Brant Lake. Sleeping bag in a black Granite Gear compression sack. Looks like it rolled into the bushes and was missed when the group left. Contact me with the brand and the initials on the tag.

This is the campsite on the north end of the island with a gravelly canoe landing area. To the east of this island is Bottle Portage (behind an island on the Canadian side), and the to the south of this island is Tiger Bay. If found, please contact me golds009@gmail.com. Also this yoke can be returned to Anderson Outfitters out of Crane Lake. Thank you in advance for any information regarding this item.

Just returned from a trip from Sawbill to Grace and back. Relatively nice weather, limited bugs and a great trip overall. In our haste to get out of Alton yesterday, I left behind my Sea to Summit tent pegs and guy lines, hanging from a tree at site 845 (site on the north side of the poin, west side of the lake, straight across from the portage to Sawbill). I know it’s not a huge expense but I would prefer to pay shipping and a small thank you to a Good Samaritan instead of buying new. Pic is from the “Peace Rock,” (so dubbed by the scouts we were tripping with), from the campsite. Thanks!
