With so many alternative available, including other GSI skillets, that are suitable for use over a campfire, why would one buy a camping skillet specifically advertised as not suitable for use over a campfire?

That GSI cast iron looks pretty good, I think a no-handle design (using a pot gripper) would be ideal - handles are clumsy to pack.
Agree that the nonstick option is a pass for cooking on fires.

Another carbon steel pan with a removable handle. I've been happy with it so far - seasoned easily, the handle snaps back on easily enough to remove from the fire. Comes in three sizes - 8, 10, 12 in
