Woodpecker, thanks for the report. We are heading out of 14 on Tuesday next week. How long did it take you, including your sightseeing tour of Devil's Cascade to get to Heritage?
Take'm to the Wilderness, introduce them to the wonders of God's creation. They will be better for it.

I would share that the BWJ listed the campsite (# 7) that we camped on on Upper Pauness as being the least desireable of all Pauness sites ....we found it dry and no mucky landing, in fact we pulled the canoe right up on a grassy area...
The only minus we found was the lack of good wood...it was literally ROTTEN pine...the rock outcropping was perfect for sunset pics...

My son and I took the same trip, that same week. Noted the same pictures we have. We had great weather and no bugs. You went in a day after we did. Fishing was poor for us, but we heard the wolves one evening and it was the best. Namaste Woodpecker
Joy is a great teacher, but so is dispair. Wonder is a great teacher, but so is confusion. Hope is a great teacher, but so is disillusionment. And life is a great teacher, but so is death. To deny yourself any of those in any aspect is not experiencing life totally.
