Nice trip report! I like the 'redneck fishfinder' hahaha. The closest I've ever come to doing that was when I was a kid, just swimming around with goggles and a snorkel at my grandparent's lake :)

I'm curious if those are Bell Vermont canoes you were paddling? What did you think of them?
