Solo Trip 2011 (EP14) (151 photos)

127 Upper Pauness Color IV

Autumn color. Compar with 128 to see the differenceth camera's polarizing filter makes (it was on, but less effective at this angle).

126 Upper Pauness Color III

Autumn color.

125 Upper Pauness Color II

The difference between my entry and my final day was stunning.

116 Upper Pauness Current

An early morning shot of Upper Pauness Lake on the final day of my solo trip.

115 Starry Night

I've been playing around with my camera's low-light settings, and got a few good shots of the starry sky.

114 Northern Lights III

The camera captured them with long exposures in shades of green. To my eyes, the shimmering lights were silver or the faintest blue (like the way the blue sky fades toward white on the horizon on a hazy day).

113 Northern Lights II

112 Northern Lights I

111 Last Fire

Going into my final night with my final fire of the trip. Upper Pauness Lake.

110 Evening Color

108 Pain in the Leg

I kept bumping into these as I was wandering about, taking in the scenery.

107 Fall Color

Fall color along the trail.

106 Color Along the Trail

Autumn color.

105 Squirrel

I nicknamed the campsite "Squirrel Point", because of the number of feisty squirrels that were squabbling nearly non-stop during my stay.

104 Late Season Fruit

Unknown fruit yet on the tree. Perhaps some sort of crabapple, or something else.
