Well, that is interesting! Helium extraction traditionally does not cause pollution and there is a shortage in the world. Maybe make some jobs? I'm sure there will be environmental studies done on the pollution risk. I'll hold my opinion until more data comes in.

Nah, Solid bedrock up there. Deposit is like 2000 feet deep.
Looks like extracting helium will be pretty low impact. Probably the bigger problem will be trying to prevent the CO2 and methane that make up nearly 90 percent of the gas deposit from being released into the atmosphere.
