It's virtual this year. But, that means I can "make it" for the first time. Taking the good with the bad, all of the presentations and vendor booths are accessible without jostling for position. Some pre-recorded sessions, but some live and encourage input, Q&A, etc. And all presentations available for 60 days. Not bad for $15.

Absolutely attending. Our first Canoecopia was 2019 - before our first trip to the Boundary Waters. I was crushed when it was cancelled last year. I'm honestly excited to be able to attend (or watch later) the seminars and speakers. They were pretty full when we went and long lines to get in.

I signed up for Copia yesterday.
I have been going to Copia in Madison since I moved to Iowa from Indianapolis in 1984.
I am going to miss meeting up with old friends this year as the show is “Virtual”. It just won’t be the same watching presentations on my PC.
I can’t wait for things to get bank to normal.

I'll be there and while both of my presentations are pre-recorded, I and the band will be logged in for chat while they are going on. I think most of the presentations will have the chat platform working and I know Rutabaga has encouraged all the presenters to log in and connect with the audience.

Yes indeed! Pretty excited about all of those Classes being available that long. I figured it would be like the in-person, where I have to choose between great options. Need a new paddle after some campers left with mine on the st. Croix last year, the one I got last time I was there.

Signed up yesterday. We were planning to make our first Canoecopia last year maybe it will be next year in will be in person.
I will say I like that these will be available to view later on and kind of hope that is a trend that continues in the future when we can return to in person events. I can remember last year looking at the presentations and there were a couple that overlapped. The option of watching later would allow me to attend one but then watch the other at a later time.

Agree. That is the biggest frustration of in-person shows.

Will “be there”. Looks like Rutabaga is doing everything possible to make this a great event. But certainly looking forward to meeting again in person.

That would require all the presenters to video their presentations and then put them up on either a youtube channel or such. If we had a team of videographers willing to do that, it could work, but that's a lot of presentations!

Caught a bunch of sessions all three days. Still have a few more to watch and thanks to this year's virtual version I will be able too go back and watch. Different than normal but has its benefits. Do miss the see and touch part with the exhibitors though.

I haven't looked, but does anyone know if the speaker sessions will still be viewable for a while?

I actually went into a few exhibitor's booths through the links there and had some interactive video chats. Answered my questions and showed me some items. Only semi-awkward. :-)

I signed up on Saturday watched sporadically but was worth the money. Plus I get 60 days to view the ones I missed on Friday or overlapped. Didn’t know you got a discount on certain items and bought a pack I probably don’t need :) but can’t wait till it arrives.
