Strong if brief appearance here in the east side of the Twin Cities about an hour ago…. Hopefully more to come!

My sister sent me pics from Winona just after ten.

Was able to see them above all the piled up snow last night up here around 10:00.

Apparently they were not just visible, but bright all the way down here in Iowa. And I missed it! Aaaaargh.

I was able to see them above all the light pollution of Duluth MN.

I‘ve seen plenty of northern lights. Last night north of Duluth they were stunning. The entire sky was dancing. I can’t express how extraordinary this was

They were nice here in SW Montana.

It was an impressive show

Most active I have seen in years. They shot up past the zenith and nearly to the opposite horizon. I wished that I had done some video, but the (marginally okay) still shots I did capture will fuel the memory for some time to come.

I am so envious! That is one thing I have not seen in my 77+ years of life--and I would really like to experience it! I have heard that they were visible in the Lansing, Michigan area, and that is about 50 miles north of us. Perhaps if I had been up at the right time I might have seen a glimmer. . .but I am rarely up in the middle of the night. Sigh.

Still, in reading your posts, it seems that they are earlier than I thought. Perhaps I need to be sure to look out to the north before I go to bed at night.
