quote AndySG: "Quite the adventure with good weather and plenty of fish. Did you manage any walleye dinners?"
I released all the walleyes and bass, Andy. I couldn't revive one pike and ate that.
One thing I didn't mention is that my Rockstar felt tippy when I first entered it for the first few days. It took a couple minutes to get my sea bottom under me.

quote gopher2307: "Nice report, missmolly. Sounds like a good time.
If you want to trade that rockstar for the ole' pack canoe, I suppose I'd do that straight up ;)"
Deal! There will be some small print on the contract I'll have you sign, but don't bother reading any of that.

quote alpine525: "Really enjoyed your trip report - it sounds like you had a great time and great fishing."
Thanks, Alpine. One lure that really worked well was an orange jointed floating Rapala with two split shot sinkers. I trolled forty yards and caught a walleye. Then I trolled back and caught another. So, I kept going to see how many I could catch in a row. I got up to 18 passes with 18 walleyes and then a pike hit. Damn Kardashian! At least the pike threw back a few of my lures.

Would love more pics if you got em...
Is the "real" campsite just because it's an ideal place to set up a tent? or does crown land have some actual "facilities"?
What did you eat besides pike?
Interesting that you enjoy finding the "artifacts" - reading about them and seeing pics kind of gave me the creeps for some reason. Not sure why.

Wherever there is a channel for water, there is a road for the canoe. -Thoreau

Hey, bwpaddler. I ate a lot of granola. I added freeze dried raspberries to yum it up. I also made some soup and ate dates and peanuts. Pretty simple stuff. I keep it simple so that I can have more time for exploring and fishing. I've attached some more photos. One is my extraordinarily flat island campsite. There's a pic of the entire boat and another of the canyon that enticed some many walleyes and bass to cluster. The campsite is real just because there's a flat place to pitch a tent. No, Crown Land doesn't have facilities.
Don't get the creeps! That stuff is cool!!!
Heeby-jeebies, begone!

Thank you for writing a great refreshing Trip report. I am glad you had a good time. The artifacts are very interesting and are a great window into the past. I like the actress/fish comparisons.
Big Headed Carp are like Lindsey Lohan. The carp jump into approaching boats and Lindsey jumps out of her Porsche after accidents. They are both looking for love and approval.
Looking forward to more Trip Reports this season.

quote Hawbakers: "Cool! Love it.
The lake you're bushwhacking to sounds very interesting! Can't wait to hear about that trip! Thanks
"
The bush might whack us, so it promises to be painful, but if we can reach that lake, it's ooh-lah-lah!

Thanks for the report M&M. Nice to see you made it out alive.
Good report.
Good report.
