Report
Friday, September 11, 2020 We left the house at 3am in the dark. Sun rose as we drove north through the Wisconsin Dells area. R slept until we got closer to Eau Claire and then read a book until we hit the Duluth area. We were in Grand Marais by early afternoon. Corn dogs on the beach and a quick stop in the Fly Box fly shop and the Beaver House. We then headed up the Gunflint Trail to Tuscarora to check in and square away our canoe and pack rental. Trail Center was dinner; we ate in the car. Delicious as usual. Then back to Tuscarora to watch the sun set over Round Lake before hopping in our sleeping bags for the night. We brought extra sleeping bags, etc. so we would not have to repack in the morning. Just wake up and go.
