Entry Point 55 - Saganaga Lake

Saganaga Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (25 HP max). This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 55 miles. No motors (use or possession) west of American Point. Access to Canada (the Crown land and Quetico Park). Large lake with many campsites and easy access. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

One question - entry is listed as 6/1966 (51 years ago) . . . ? If correct, did you ever make it to Little Sag?

Don't know how that date got there computer quiche I think.


Report should be this year. 7 22 2017 fixed it


Never did make it to little sag have to plan another trip

I figured it had to be one of those "mysteries of the universe" things :). You'd have to way older than even me ;). I liked Little Sag; hope you get there.

Hope your buddy is doing ok. Had to be a disappointment though. Good thing it didn't happen in little sag. But maybe knowing you had to move he'd have been able to. Funny what you can do when you have to and what you can't do if you don't. That said, those falls can be painful. Way to make the best of the situation.
