I left a silencer cap (referred to as dragontamer BernieDawg) for my dragonfly stove near the fire grate area on Oyster Lake. It is sitting on the corner of the logs nearest the lake. We left the morning of May 25th from the campsite facing southeast on the long peninsula. I know this is a long shot but I would love to get it back if someone runs across it. Thanks!

Found a black fanny pack on the portage landing of Glee Lake. I assume someone must have been hiking the Kekekabic and had taken a rest to view the lake. It was found a couple weeks ago and theoretically belongs to somebody named Jacob.

Found a day pack (can't remember what kind) on the portage between Polly and Koma about 10 days ago. It had a nice fishing net in it and a Patagonia Jacket besides some other stuff. Contact the Tofte Ranger Station if it is yours.

May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

We found a set of rain gear at a campsite in Pickerel Lake in Quetico. If you can identify, let me know and we'll work on the logistics. We dropped them off at our outfitter.

Found 6/29/23: Hat on Isabella Lake in Quetico at the campsite where the lake narrows. It looks more maroon in real life. It's says Rainy lake Sportfishing Club 2016 and Port Authority on it.

On a trip with kids I foolishly trusted them to sweep and lost a small backpack full of water bottles on 7/6/23. It would be at the Round Lake parking lot or possibly at either end of the portage trail from West Round to Round. Embarrassed that a leech locker was left in the water at the 3rd campsite on the south western side of Agnes as one is entering it from EP 16. Was on a leash and attached to the shore. Don't care about the item, just hate to have left garbage. Not sure exactly where it is in the water as I was in a crew and not in charge of it at the time. If you pack it out and take a picture of it in an obviously non BWCA environment, email me the picture, your name and address and I will send you a retrieval fee. You can keep the leech locker, sell it or give it away. You will know how to photograph it by looking at the locker.

Never criticize someone until you walk a mile in their shoes....by then you'll be a mile away and they will be shoeless!

Lost a fishing pole bag with 5 poles and 4 reels on the EP for Crab Lake on Burntside. It is a brown camouflage bag. A couple of the poles have great sentimental value and I'm really hoping someone has found them. They were seen 7/24 in the morning, but by afternoon they were no longer there. I recently lost a sentimental Nalgene bottle with some great stickers on it on Bayley Bay after a final night of camping before the end of my trip. I’ve had it for over 20 years… would love to be reunited.

Also a member of my group lost a Rapala filet knife, most likely at the North end of Agnes. Lower hopes for that…

I lost my wedding ring at the camp site on Beth lake closest to the portage from Alton Lake (BWCA site 836) on July 13th. I believe it came off in the water a few feet from landing that is on the west side of the campground. It may have come of on land near that shore. It's a simple gold band with my wedding date inscribed on the inside. I'll gladly pay $500 to anyone who finds it and returns it to me.

We just returned home from an amazing trip doing the Kawishiwi triangle from entry point 29(8AUG-11AUG). We had a full permit of 9 with 4 adults and 5 youth. 3 of the youth were brand new to the BWCAW. We started in Ojibway lake, through to Triangle than the 190r portage. The weather was great, except for the full ran Thursday night until we paddled out Friday morning.
During this trip, I found a small tackle kit on one of the portages in the triangle route. If you are missing it, send me a message, describe it and where you think you lost it, and I will be sure to get it back to you.

LOST: Black Smoky Mountain Growler

Howdy folks, long shot here I think...

Sunday 8/20 noonish, I left my favorite water jug at a portage :(

It is a black, 2qt / 2L steel Smoky Mountain Growler, personalized with the name 'Karlen' and covered in stickers from all over.

We were just starting the Echo Trail 'Circle Route'...so I left it somewhere between Fenske, Sletten, Tee, and Grassy Lake...my kid told me not to bring it because it was too big and we didn't need it...but ya know you wanna use your cool stuff, instead I proceeded to instantly lose my cool stuff :(

Hi I lost a hatchet and a pair of shoes between Ram and Little Trout lakes on 8/18. The hatchet was hand ground and it had AA ground into one side of it, wood handle. It was in a leather sheath. I believe the shoes were Merrill small womens.

Hi this post is in response to the post from wkdlstr. Those shoes in the picture belong to my canoe partner and the hatchet with AA ground into it is mine. We lost them between Ram and Little Trout Lake on 8/18. The shoes are womens Merrill mesh shoes. The hatchet was in a leather sheath and the shoes probably tied to the sheath. The hatchet is hand ground and the handle is wood. I would be happy to pay the shipping or do the driving to retrieve them. Thanks

Lost a pair of black Oakley Fuel Cell sunglasses on the Lizz/Caribou or Caribou/Horseshoe portage. Had them on my hat and I think I flipped them off with the boat at the south end of the trail. Probably ended up in the water.

Didn't find anything except a filter dip tube and a huge birds nest of fishing line.

Left behind Sept 5 at Fishdance Lake campsite opposite the cliffs: an ORANGE NRS safety rope bag containing my bail ball. I use that bag to visibly mark when I’m in camp and I forgot to take it when I left. No need to return it, keep it with my compliments and accept apologies if this error kept people from approaching the campsite.

Was a bad paddler, dropped two items at portages , a compass between ima and Thomas on the 19th?, and my Deeper fish finder at the Insula end of the 105 from Hudson on the 22nd. The compass was a decent plastic plate model with flip up mirror sight. The deeper depth finder is a black plastic ball about the size of a tennis ball, with a short leash. I would gladly get a burger and beer gift certificate at the pub in Ely for any kind soul that can help me reconnect with my fumbled items. (PM or text to 630 664 5363 if you can help). ;)

Ama62206: "Was a bad paddler, dropped two items at portages , a compass between ima and Thomas on the 19th?, and my Deeper fish finder at the Insula end of the 105 from Hudson on the 22nd. The compass was a decent plastic plate model with flip up mirror sight. The deeper depth finder is a black plastic ball about the size of a tennis ball, with a short leash. I would gladly get a burger and beer gift certificate at the pub in Ely for any kind soul that can help me reconnect with my fumbled items. (PM or text to 630 664 5363 if you can help). ;)

Hey All,

Me and my dad did the Frost River loop route. Towards the end of Frost River, I lost my camera that had all the videos and photos of our trip. I attached an image of where the camera was lost at. The camera was lost on a portage at Frost River. If anyone is going through Frost River, especially the circled area in my image, please be on the lookout for my offbrand gopro camera.

My Loss is your gain!
April 12, 2024, I attempted EP23 Mudro, and was forced to turn around to attempt a secondary EP. In my haste, my knife (a SOG PUP) and sheath came loose somewhere between the first parking spot and the sandy launch area. If you find it, you're welcome to keep it. It's been a good camp knife for many years and you will enjoy it!

Lost: Counter Assault bear spray with holster...I think at the Pipestone Falls portage on 5/8/24, at the middle entry/exit point closer to the falls on the Newton Lake side.

It's probably wedged in the rocks by the water. If you find it, please feel free to keep it! Left it after a very anxiety-ridden portage, and it won't do me much good now.

So sorry for late reply as I forgot about this thread. I may have found these on a day trip in to Rose falls on June 6th. We didn't notice them going north but when we came back there they were. No one was in parking lot so we grabbed them. Asked Hungry Jack if they knew if anyone lost and they were unaware. Even showed to Carl when we left from Rockwood on June 7th for a trip into Meeds so not real sure if these are ones that were lost. If you feel these are yours and can describe please email me. I will be starting a trip on June 3rd out of Poplar so will be in the area.

Hi folks, we just got back to Ely after a great trip with my Scout troop. One kid realized way too late that he was missing his fishing pole. It should be at the Gibson Lake end of the portage from Ashigan to Gibson Lake. It's a black and red rod with a tan baitcasting reel. If found email airplaneman121@gmail.com

We found a custom spinning rod/reel on Pine Lake in the South West Unit (Trout Lake EP1) this week 7/16. This was at a campsite. It was in the water and in there for a while...If its yours get in touch with me and tell me what was rigged on it or what reel was and we'll figure out how to get it back to you.
