Just the other day little duckling (Jr in HS now) asked if we can go to that thing where we eat moose poop and we built a fort in the woods with other kids again. LOL.
It’s looking good that we should be able to make it this year. I told my brother not to pick that weekend as the one he comes home from Costa Rica to watch Lucca play for St Johns like he did last year.
Little duckling thinks tiny duckling (5) needs to go to his first one so he can eat moose poop.
Lots of great memories and lots of great people we have met at the few wing nights we were able to go to

I don't think there's been the moose poop desert since the last time you were there!

This is an event that has been so much fun for many. Back in the day we had some real characters attend. But I don’t think I’ve ever not enjoyed any since my first time in 2011…
New people are extremely encouraged… the stories and the fun is so outstanding. Putting names to faces… well, my face has been the only disappointment! Haha!

I semi-retire on August 2nd, so I’m thinking I might make the camp out, possibly might have my wife with me. If she doesn’t go, I’ll be using a hammock. Are hammocks allowed at Baker and, if so, are there suitable trees for hanging?
Just put one foot in front of the other; eventually you'll get there.

mr.barley: "After a long absence, I am seriouèsly considering attending. "I just looked at the dates and I'm going on trip a couple days later. I just booked this afternoon. I don't think that will fly with "the war committee ". Dammit.

Will no longer be camping... boooo...
My husband is a Fireman and was just invited to the MN Fireman Conference and will be gone all weekend, and we have dogs. Sigh.
Anyway, still planning on coming for the afternoon and potluck. Will be bringing Mini_MN (Not so mini anymore... she's 17!!!!)
Tuscarora - I told her at least one other kid would be there!
Basspro/Ducks/Canoearoo, would be fun to re-create the photo with the kids!

Pretty sure ill make it for some or all of the festivities. Maybe ill see if She's wants to tag along. She made friends so easily when she was little. When Lindsay's daughter was 9 and Aged was 8. Somehow I expect it would be different at 17 and 16.
Without the bad times, the good times wouldn't seem so good.

I think I’ll be there Saturday for the potluck. Little duckling (just like miniMN isn’t so little anymore at 17) wants to go. Tiny duckling (5) will come with as well. Anyone else bringing littles for Bruin to play with? I don’t think big duckling (19) will join us and my wife has to work.

dogwoodgirl: "Looks like I won't make it Friday, but still planning to be there for the potluck!"
Hoping to score a few more canoe paddles?
May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

Tony: "Just wondering what everyone's bringing for the potluck? I will pick up some paper plates and plastic ware. Is anyone bringing anything that requires bowls?
Tony"
Bringing 3 sister's stew or a squash soup...haven't decided yet. Both would require bowls.

I plan on attending sometime Saturday around noon or so and spend that night.
Will bring homemade BBq-ue wings and a blue cheese sauce for the potluck.
Look forward to seeing new and old attendees.

Thanks again for a great weekend. Always great to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
If you are heading south today, Minnesota's finest are out in full force. Must be wanting to catch us Iowans on the way up to the game.

I had a great time listening to everyone's tales of adventure. I ended up with 3 extra chairs. Shorthairedcurly says 2 are hers. Anyone else missing a green fold-up chair??

Kendra: "I can't deny a little duckling from eating "poop" (aka moose plums)!
I will bring "moose plums" and for the non-poop eaters, I made some special apple pies!"
I miss those mooseplums...try to make it in 2025.
