Lost 4 Mckenzie maps on the Fern to Olifaunt portage. Stored in a gallon ziplock bag, so still usable. Could have gone back for them but due to time of day and having been over the portage 3 times, we moved on. I'll pay a modest reward and shipping for their return.

quote Mocha: "found: camera on a log, either on the portage from horseshoe to gaskin or gaskin to winchell OR from horseshoe to Allen.
SD card still good, kevlar canoes, one from Rockwood. T-shirts on some of the people say ILLINOIS.
mix of older teens and young adults
hard to tell from the date stamp since the stamp looks like December but the photos are June or early July-ish.
shoot me an email if you think this is yours and can describe the camera. here are some people photos from the SD card

Mocha.....the canoe registration says 2012....that camera has been there a while

Had this posted in another thread so forgive me,,but lost a Seagull Outfitters PFD on the measly 9 rod portage from Red Rock Lake to Red Rock Bay on 7/24/16...
Don't ask me how, don't know how I lost it...had it on paddling to the portage which was our pick up point for a tow back...took it off as we arrived about an hour early....never found it.
If found, and returned to Seagull Outfitters, I get my $40 fee for lost gear credited back to me....thanks.

Hello All, Just back from a Bower Trout to Ram long loop.
A wild shot but worth a try....I lost my Fitbit One (small pedometer that clips on your belt) some where between the southern campsite on North Temperance Lake and the east facing island campsite on Long Island Lake.
This means it is probably somewhere on the North Temp Lake portage to Sitka lake, the Sitka Lake to Cherokee Lake portage (still a dozy), the portage going north out of Cherokee Lake to Gordon Lake and then the portage north out of Gordon Lake to Long Island River.
If you happen to read this and have found my Fitbit One please reply to this message.
Many thanks,
UP Boy

I can only hope that when I die, my wife does not sell my fishing equipment for what I told her I paid for it

Lost: Garmin Etrex Vista HCx, grey in color. Power on screen has my contact name & number.
Disappeared from vehicle somewhere between the Southernmost landing on Saganaga and home in Northern IL, 8/13-14.
I figure its gone and somebody has a new handheld. Only piece of 'important' data on it I'd like recovered is the tracks of my most recent trip. Thankfully I had offloaded the Philmont data before the BW trip.

Found by a friend last week in August. Waterproof Olympus camera. Found on the portage into or coming out of Crab lake.

Re: Jakthund post about found paddle on Sea Gull
Hi I had not hoped to find my lost paddle. I'll have to get with my boy and review the map. He lost it in heavy seas while lost with three novice teenage girls on Sea Gull within a day of 7/15. I know they paddled counter-clockwise around Three Mile Island instead of following me as they had started : straight north from our camp site on Fishhook Island through the river shortcut to Sag. With the spare buried under packs, the westerly winds drove them from it so they could not find it - I can still barely believe it cuz I went out alone after them in a wide aluminum boat and did alright.
I'll check through my receipts cuz I didn't pay attention to brand. If it's a 52" bent shaft that Scheele's stocked in '14, then it could be my old one that I sorely miss. I'll try to find more info...
Very kind of you to post it like this.
I sincerely appreciate the help from the party camped at c0501 who beckoned them in, relayed my message to my lost kids, fixed their map so what they needed all on one side, and showed them where they were and needed to go to find me. Thank you, whoever you folks are!
Not mine, thanks. Had to ask in case :-(

Free solar charger awaits someone who will scan the rock point C1702, the first campsite in South Kawishiwi River east of Eskagwama Lake portage. GOAL ZERO Guide 10 Plus Solar Recharging Kit with spare batteries! Please save it before winter turns it to hazardous waste. I also posted in the for sale and wanted stuff and in that camp site map pin. Of course, I'd gladly accept it if you rescue it from the elements just for me :-) . Abandoned 9/12 ~15:00.

LOST:
3 fishing rods with reels. They're on the short portage between Kelly and Peterson, leaning up against the little scrub pine. Will gladly pay for shipping back to me and a little extra for being an honest Joe and going through the trouble of packing them up.

Lost between Fourtown & Mudro parking lot: Sept 16th (2 pm to 6 pm)
Customer came in and between Fourtown & the 3 portages back to the Mudro parking lot, he lost his iPhone 6 Plus (the big one) in a bright green case that also has his wallet in it. Could also be in the parking lot, he noticed it missing once he got to VNO for their showers & to return the canoes.
The name is Daniel Cevetello
A phone number to call (his buddy) is 630 768 6993. Just missing today, within 4 hours from now (6:30 pm) Friday.
Thanks for any help! Someone here found John's keys at the Lake One area 2 years ago, so thought this would be a good spot!

Found: Green tackle box/case. On North side of Lake Agnes (BWCA Agnes) near campsite on a point.
Lots of gear inside. If you can describe the reels or something to determine that this case is yours, give us a call.
One of our Voyageur North customers found it & brought it back with him.

I know it's a long shot, but... I went in on the South Kawishiwi River at Entry point 32 last weekend. We came out on Sunday Oct. 21 mid morning. We had a big group and two vehicles so I didn't actually personally check all our stuff. There was another group coming out about the time we left and my friend missed my bag when she went back to check the river end of the portage cause she thought it was part of their gear. There were three tarps in a clear dry bag(there is a name written in sharpie on the inside of the top of the dry bag). There was one 10x10 generic blue tarp and two ENO hammock tarps, one black and one gray. Like I said, it's a really long shot, but I just thought I would try and see if maybe someone had picked them up. I would be more than willing to pay shipping at least to get them back!!!

In all the years I've been on this forum I have never noticed this thread. In, I believe 2011 I lost a medium heavy gandermountain rod on Vale lake above Pine. I suspect that it was lost to the depths. In 2008 I left a pair of keen sandels on the long islang lake. The campsite next to the large burnt out island.

That's insane!!!! I always bdb the net under the stern seat but the balance was off so I decided to carry it on my trip across with the pack that day and then left it behind somewhere because putting it back in the canoe wasn't part of the normal routine. Was it by the big tree blocking the one portage landing? I noticed it was missing when we got to Bower Trout and there was no turning back at that point.
Any luck on your daytrip to Swan? I live in Big Lake.

Yep, it was by the big downed tree. We didn't have much luck fishing but mostly just wanted to explore anyways. Not sure how to do private messages but we can try to meet up somewhere in the middle to get it back to you :)

To the couple I crossed paths with paddling a Sawbill canoe on your way to Cherokee, I found a nice water bottle on the portage from Sawbill to the unnamed lake before Ada that I assume is yalls.
Sawbill Outfitters has it with a note of where it was found. Hope you get it back!
Also, if you left a knife on Frost last week, tell me the campsite and the knife, and I'll get it to you. I unfortunately forgot my knife, so it was a welcome find.

Our group found a pair of prescription glasses hanging from a tree and I am hoping to locate the owner. Based on strength of the prescription I am sure the owner would like them back. Campsite is about a mile past Silver Falls.
Contact me if you are looking for your glasses.

Hello,
On June 7, 2016 my brother and I went in on entry point 16. We chose to take the 160 rod portage from Agnes to the Oyster river. We left my tackle bag/box and a dry box, that was clipped to the tackle bag/box, containing a camera. We noticed our error and I went back to retrieve my forgotten equipment. It was, of coarse, gone. The camera was red with "WELD" engraved on it. If you found it I would appreciate getting it back. I will gladly pay the shipping!!

Lost on Gull Lake from the peninsula site (really strong winds of Saturday 6/10):
Marmot Precip rain pants, black, size L Tall. I checked around the site and in water when we paddled out to Gun portage on Sunday morning with no luck.....and of course it was a cold rainy morning. Wet legs until the sun came out around noon, brrrrrr.
Let me know if anyone happens upon them, thanks!

Left our leeches at the lake Stuart entry point to Dahlgren River a couple weeks back. Didn't realize they were missing until we were about 3/4 of the way up the Dahlgren River and decided it was too late to go back. That sucked. Lindy stringer with a mesh bag and a leech locker attached. About a half pound of leeches in each. 3rd day of an 8 day trip.
If you found them and want to send my gear back I'll pay for the shipping!

I was wind bound for a bit on the small island west of Eden Island on Quetico lake and stumbled upon a nice solo yoke with two sets of really nice pads installed on top of each other.
Probably used two pads to get extra height for kayak portaging.
I found it on the shoreline far from the landing, so I'm not sure how it got there.
Let me know if you are missing a nice yoke and two sets of pads.
I'm in the Minneapolis area and would be happy to reunite it with the owner.

I lost my wedding ring somewhere along the way from Lake Vermilion to Pine Lake. We were camped in the south facing site on the eastern side of the large island on Pine so it could be around camp somewhere. I had cold wet hands so it could have slipped off.

Help! My husband left our #4 Duluth pack on the far east side of Ensign Lake on July 6, 2017 and just realized it tonight. It sounds crazy but he was traveling with 5 teenagers and trying to exit in a storm. We reviewed campsite photos from 7-6-17 and see the pack back behind a tree. Anyone traveling on Ensign and able to check the site for us? We think it is site 1220. We have been taking BWCA trips for 30 years and have never left a pack behind. We are desperate to get it back
I listed site as 1220 but my daughter tells me it was site 37. Is anyone going into Ensign who would be willing to take a look?

I'd also check with the outfitters who service that area, as well as the ranger station. Portaging a whole 'nother pack is a lot though. I think a lot of people would assume that if someone left a whole pack, they'd miss it and be back for it.

Also, did anyone find a Coghlin compass somewhere along Emerald, That Man, Sheridan area? It's not that expensive and probably not worth the shipping to get it back. I'd just like to know where I lost it. THanks

Floating in the river is likely where they ended up. Thanks for the note. What is WELY, or more to the point, who can I call?

quote pswith5: "quote drglock: "I'm looking for 3 items from our trip last week.Did you stay on Con island?? I left a walking stick that may have been yours because I was too lazy to strap it in my canoe :("
The first is a new walkie talkie. Camo in color, made by midland. I may have lost it on the portage from little loon into slim lake. I have the other radio to show a pic if necessary.
The second is my compass. Nothing fancy. A Silva, clear with a yellow dial. Not sure exactly where, but somewhere on our loop from little Indian Sioux to Nina moose.
Last and probably most important. I lost my walking stick. Again, nothing fancy. Was just a nice sized stick that I had attached a leather grip to. I have several pictures of the walking stick. This item has a lot of sentimental value.
I would so greatly appreciate their return of anyone happened upon them. I'll pay for shipping etc. thanks

Wow, I just now checked in and saw this message as I prepare for our 2017 trip :)
I am not sure where Con island is, but we did stay on an island campsite on Finger Lake. I cant recall the exact last place I had it, but this could have been it. I appreciate the info in any case.

I lost a pair of black prescription Ray-Ban sunglasses with Crokies on them (took them off in the rain and must have fallen out of my jacket) between the portage coming into Indiana from Wind Bay, going through Good Lake and the creek coming out into Hoist Bay. Most likely on a portage or while loading. Not holding out a lot of hope

GOOD NEWS!! Our pack was found by a group of campers from Camp Voyageur.
A camp leader heard the announcement on the Ely radio station while another camp leader found our pack on Ensign. We are so grateful for the goodness in people and for the effort put into to getting us reunited with our items. We are so thankful!

Just returned from my trip short one bag of camera gear. Missing somewhere between Lower Pauness and Lynx Lake. Lost on Friday, July 21st. We backtracked that entire area twice and have not found it. Small handbag-size bright-green bag. Have searched and left info with the Ely Chamber of Commerce, WELY Radio, and Ely Police. We outfitted through Canoe Country Outfitters and they are also aware and have been very helpful with attempts to retrieve it.
In case you found it and have it hoping to return it to the rightful owner--please reach out and thank you!

GOOD NEWS! :D My phone was found and turned into Z Wireless Verizon in Duluth! The two ladies who found my phone snapped a selfie prior to turning it in, but didn't leave any contact info for a proper thank you. Posting that photo here in case anyone may be able to forward my thanks from New Jersey. :)

My friend Mike Bartz left a Grey Owl canoe paddle at the East Bearskin USFS public access about 9:45 PM Saturday night. He checked on Sunday morning and it was gone. Wondering if anyone out there might have picked it up or know who did. He would like to get it back for many reasons...reward! Thanks!! Lost on a portage around Caribou Lake (the far east one by Pine): a saw in a salmon colored protective case.
Lost on the Moon Lake to Flour Lake portage: a pair of black prescription (barely) sunglasses. I took this pair on the trip because I wasn't going to cry if I lost them. So I don't really need them back. But I would love it if you found them and removed them from the wilderness. ;)

I heard that the owner of the poles was contacted & they have either been or will be back with the Ely owner soon. This board works! :-)

Lost: Plastic Map case - think it is on portage from Hanson Lake to Cherry Lake. Map case includes a compass, my MN fishing license, Fisher map (think F32), Mckenzie (not sure number) and possibly some notes. Most likely at landing on Hanson Lake, but possibly on portage. Think it was left at entrance landing on Hanson Lake to portage to Cherry Lake. Lost 08/7/2017.
Didn't notice it was gone until later and thought other persons in party in other canoes had it which were ahead of my canoe. Desperately need my MN fishing license and compass. I think the Fisher map has notes wrote on it about campsites and other information, so the map is more than a map to me (memories).
Would appreciate it, if found, you would return to me (will pay for mailing fees). Plz contact me via email address.
Thank you

Lost: Gransfor small hatchet
hatchet
When: Wednesday Aug 9th
Location: somewhere between Ham Lake peninsula site and arriving at Rockwood Lodge via car. We had it when we packed up the final morning at our campsite. It was on the outside of a pack. We paddled out to the Cross Bay entry, packed up in the parking lot near the trees at the top of the stairs, showered at Tuscarora and then drove to Rockwood to spend the rest of the week in the cabin.
We have no idea when it went missing - we noticed it gone when we left the Rockwood cabin. It isn't in or near the cabin we stayed in, Rockwood has already looked high and low for us.
So... somewhere between Ham Lake and Tuscarora Lodge it went missing.

Customer lost key fob for their Mitsubishi vehicle yesterday.
Went out at Lake One & looked between Lake 1 & 2, didn't find. Thought also could be between Rifle Lake and Lake 1.
Please keep an eye (& ear) out for this key, otherwise they said they have to get a ride or tow truck to take car down to White Bear Lake where a dealership is.
This board found John's keys at Lake One a few years ago, maybe the luck will hold for this nice family.

A young couple (customers) were on the portage yesterday (August 28th)between Lower Pauness and Upper Pauness Lakes (at #14 Little Indian Sioux area) and misplaced/dropped a beige fishing vest somewhere on the portage. It still has the husband's fishing license in one of the pockets.
They said there was a family with some young kids around the portage at the same time, so they might have picked it up or it is still out there.
If anyone finds it, please contact Voyageur North at 218 365 3251.
