Fully taped seams ensure waterproofness. Full-length side zippers with drawcord cuffs and snap closures allow easy on/off without removing boots. Oh, I’ve been drooling over these pants for the longest time! My fiancé has the men’s version of these and they’re so comfy (I’ve tried them on). I have a cheap pair of rain pants (Galyan’s brand) that work well enough so I can’t justify the price of these pants yet. But, oh how I envy my fiancé when he doesn’t have to take off his shoes to put his rain pants on. And after a day of sitting in a canoe in the rain, he’ll be completely dry but my rear will be damp. Because he rides his bicycle to work, after a couple of years the inner layer that keeps the pants waterproof rubbed off in the seat/inner thigh area (from rubbing against the seat of the bike). He took them back to REI and they gave him a brand new pair. Nice.

i purchased these pants for my late fall canoe trip 2010. they surpassed my expectations as rain pants go. It didn't rain much but it was very windy many days so i wore them over my under armour long john pants and was toasty warm just standing in the wind.also great was the fact i could unzip them all the way up the leg to let the sun hit my legs in between rain showers.
overall great investment for canoeing. the pants have been getting a workout snowshoeing this winter and have held up very well.
