Great for getting water safe to drink before or after portage. It helped us keep hydrated during some very warm weather. We were pleased with its quickness.

I've been using one of these for about 5 years now and it's been great. The convenience of being able to scoop up water and drink immediately makes it much easier to stay properly hydrated on hot days. For a couple years it was all I brought and it's an excellent option especially if you're a weight-conscious oz counter like me. Eventually I started bringing a hand pump filter as well since you can't add any drink mixes to the Micro and getting filtered water to cook with takes forever. The combo of this bottle and a pump filter works perfectly for me. I use the bottle when I'm on the move so I don't have to stop and pump, and I use the pump when I'm at camp when I want filtered water for other things. Unfortunately this model has been discontinued and they now offer the MyBottle series in place of it. I didn't give it a perfect rating because sometimes the filters seem to clog up pretty quick and I've had to buy 2/3 of them in the 5 years I've had it.
