I purchased this tarp with reservations due to price. The first trip it proved it's worth. We were hammered with 27mph winds and thunderstorms the tarp performed admirably. The CCS tarp is extremly light, packs down small and weathered the storm with no rips or tears, or damage and kept us dry. The reinforced seams and multiple tie downs help to distribute the load. The tie downs are nylon loops and there are no grommet holes which usually are the weak point in othe tarps. I have used this tarp for 3 years in rain snow and high wind and highly recommend it.

We've owned this tarp for quite a number of years - more than 10. It is undestructable! We have been through many, many storms and this tarp has held up like a charm. The quality of the fabric and workmanship is excellent. No matter what your campsite situation - as long as you have a couple of trees - you can set up this tarp.

We have three CCS tarps and this is the one we are most pleased with when you see its small size and weight. It maybe a bit pricey, but the advantages and quality are there.

this tarp was designed for people who truly want an excellent tarp system.
it streches tight, the ties are strong, it is very light weight and it packs well,
just stuff it in a bag. one of the best new products out.

Excellent tarp. I was a little weary based upon the price to buy it, but after using it on two trips so far I can say it is well worth the investment. Quality craftsmanship and outstanding design make this a great tarp to own.

Great tarp even with the high price tag. It's well worth it and we needed it on our last trip with rain on the majority of the days. We used to trip without one, now we'd never leave without it and it's the first thing up when we're at a new campsite.

Simply the best. High quality build and design with virtually endless pitch options. I own two of these.

I have the 10' x 14' model. Perhaps the most valuable piece of equipment ever brought into the BWCA. Pair this with the CCS Ridgeline Stuff Sack and you have the perfect set-up. I keep my tarp pre-rigged with 20' of reflective cordage attached to each corner and to each of the center loops on the long side. I also have a 50' ridgeline pre-threaded running the long direction. When I get to camp, I can have the entire setup secured and ready to go within a couple of minutes. If it's raining it gives you a great place to grab a snack, unpack gear and set-up the tent. It's is very versatile as the size allows you to drop one side to the ground to use like a lean, deflecting the wind and/or blowing rain.
