I picked one of these up last year at REI. It was strong and worked fine but personally I would prefer it if it were just a bit longer. I'd like to have it allow for a more perpendicular hold on the pot/pan, (though it may have just been my cookware) as it gave me more of a slanted grip. Still, for the $ spent - a decent product. Another thought - give it a brighter color so it can be more readily found among the fallen leaves and firewood after one of your campmates loses it while tossing it around. The faster you find it the sooner you can slap him with it.

Well, you kinda NEED this is if you have REI cookware (which I do). But the reason for listing this separate, I assume, is that you may want more than 1 (only 1 handle came with my set).

Anyway... this handle works just fine, except that the tongue (the piece of metal that inserts into the pot's slot) can bend when lifting heavy pots. It seems it is subject to fatigue... thus my so-so rating.
