From the 18-ounce canvas to the double bottom, everything about this canoe pack is heavy duty. One-inch wide leather flap straps, a tumpline, map pocket, side slip pockets with weep holes and sturdy leather shoulder straps all come standard on the Paul Bunyan. If you can’t get all of your gear into this pack, maybe you just have too much stuff! Pack includes thick replaceable poly liner. Made in USA.

I purchased this pack with one thing in mind, I'm taking a lot of stuff to make my wife's trip very comfortable so she'll fall in love with the Boundary Waters. And, it worked. This bag is the best! I carry everything that doesn't pertain to cooking. It allows the food pack to be much lighter for my wifer to carry. I purchased the padded sleeves for the leather straps and makes it very comfortable. If your looking for a pack that is heavy duty and able to carry a lot of gear, look no further because you won't find one. This pack will do it for you. As with all Duluth Packs, you can add pockets to them, put map cases on them, and if needed, you can always repair them if something were to unfortunately happen.

I like to carry lots of gear and this pack will do just that.Very well made as all duluth packs are.I added the padded shoulder straps also.Great pack I can get everything my wife and I need for a week long trip in this pack.

Love my Paul Bunyan. I pack all the soft lofty gear into it that take up a lot of volume in a regular pack. Sleeping bags, tents, clothes, tarps, etc. The result is a reasonably weighted pack, that frees up space in your other packs. It also makes a great "beanbag" chair on the trail!
