Thanks for sharing your experience. I enjoyed reading abut your journey. You caught way more fish than I usually do.

Nice report and pictures. Glad you found some fish and darn those hidden little stove pieces. That's a nice area you picked. Too bad you ran away from Moosecamp so quick :)

Still kicking myself for letting my emotions get the best of me. I feel like I missed a hidden gem. Thankfully, there's always the next trip!

But then you'd never have found the good fishing spot by the island. It always works out

As soon as you said that the stove was missing the connection,I said to myself"I wonder if he checked under the grill".That sounds like a great trip and is the same first trip we took to the Boundary Waters. We spent eight days total, four days on Ferry Lake at the campsite across from the portage and four days on Moosecamp at the north west side. We didn't have the best fishing either, but the two days our menu called for fish the BDub provided. Very nice report, please go back and give us some more.

Very nice report on a trip to a cool area. I think Fourtown is a great-looking lake. Would like to camp on Moosecamp though. What was the reason for your "panic" and leaving there? Was it just the fishing prospects?

I thought the little rocky 10-rodder into Fourtown was kind of a pain in the ass. :)

Nice pictures !

My panic was strictly fishing. I had only brought dinner for two of the 5 nights and had planned on eating fish. So when the fishing was slow I started to get nervous! This skinny boy likes to eat lol.

Also agree with you. That 10 rod is no joke!

Nice trip report.
Sounds like you guys had a wonderful time.
Looks like you had some really nice campsites too.
I really liked the pic with that piece of old saw blade, very cool.
