Trip Introduction:

Report

This was an extremely short notice trip. Because of this I knew I was going to have to use a very popular entry point. My choices were between Lake One and Moose and after much thought and input from friends, I picked Moose.

This was my dog's (Belle's) 1st canoe trip and I wanted very few portages and was planning on base camping.

We ended up taking a site up on Sucker. The days we spent doing day trips, fishing, camp chores, reading and napping. Belle also enjoyed swimming and chasing the loons!

One of our day trips was over to Birch Lake which is a very nice lake but it appears that the camp sites fill very quickly. I took the time to refill the water supply from Birch. I wonder how clean my filtered drinking water from Sucker was with the boat and fishermen traffic?

I wasn't bothered by the boats at all but they were certainly noticable,I knew they were going to be there.

This was a great little trip that was a good introduction for my dog and a nice, spur of the moment get away for me. No large mistakes happened (a few small ones!) and I have further refined my packing so I'm not bringing too much stuff.

I will let my pictures and video tell more!
