A fantastically written trip report. Your writing style and humor are excellent. Thanks so much!

But are you absolutely sure it'll be your last trip?

PLEASE write another trip report! Loved the writing style and heard a bit of Patrick McManus in many of the lines.

I think it would be a blast to do some paddling & tripping with you, ArchiePalego.
Listening to all the stories you have tucked away to memory. Thank you for sharing and composing such an enjoyable read.

I had a teacher in high-school who could spin a yarn like that. Talked me into joining the speech team so I could do a bit of it too. I am not as versed at putting it to paper, but give me a beer and a little time I will keep most interested. You'd fit in well with Mr. Olsen. Thanks for sharing.

Started out laughing and ended with a tear or two. Really great report. I hope you get back in some fashion. I like your take on fishing. We hit a mayfly hatch once, we were glad to miss it this time.

You, my friend, have a true gift. Thank you for starting my day with a smile and a little melancholy. I'd paddle with you and Brian anytime.

We all have to believe in something. I believe I'll go paddle.

Loved your report. I’m going to try and remember this line as it seems to get to the heart of what brings me back.

Rip roaring funny! Great descriptions. My husband likes to "mark" where we bury our wash water hoping to keep the big fuzzy black beasts at bay so your territory marking felt familiar...lol. I sure hope that wasn't your last...too much fun reading about your adventures.

Really liked your report. What is the story behind your forum name? I turn 72 in July and have a 10 (or so) day solo scheduled for mid May and I could be the poster child for fat old man. Don't make the "Last Trip" your last trip

Dude, write a book cuz I’ll buy it. That was fun, thanks.
