Entry Point 20 - Angleworm Lake

Angleworm Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 18 miles. Access is a 640-rod portage to Angleworm Lake.

Thanks for the winter reading. It was nice to hear about it and remember my 2009 trip in Mudro. It was September and the gorge along the portage to Fourtown was beautiful with the fall foliage. I had a short chat on the portage with a old man and his guide. He told me he was 77 and came every year. He was from somewhere in the SW (AZ?) and just couldn't stay away, but was afraid that might be his last trip. Anyway, glad you had a nice trip.
