It's nice to relive memories like this. I don't suppose you have any pics from this adventure?

We all have to believe in something. I believe I'll go paddle.

Nice report, and sounds like a great first trip. Hope you've had many more since then. I'll check back in a couple days and look for photos.

Thanks for posting. My son (12 at the time) and I did this exact trip 3 years ago. Great memories.

We've had 7 other BWCA trips and 1 Quetico trip since then. I added 5 photos. These were the only 5 I have saved from this particular trip.

That was my first trip more or less the same year you did it in. However... there was a mishap on the first day and we rerouted.

A couple of years later I tried again with just one other from the original group. We made it to Gigikki and that was a far as we got. We did stay at island camp. We then went back to Knife/Ottertrack and goofed around...had a great time though!

I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it!

Thanks for posting your report. I enjoyed reading about your memories when you were a teenager, and loved the photos! We don't fish, so that part didn't speak to me that much, but how I did enjoy the smile from the fisherman that went along with it!

Well done report.
