I must reluctantly admit that your trip report was a good read.

I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

Molly, Hope the reluctance doesn't come from anything related to the University of Michigan. The name does not refer to the school in Ann Arbor. Actually I'm a Spartan. I just love my home state! Thanks for the compliment btw.

Michigan is a beautiful state. I shopped properties there, but bought in Maine. Being an OSU alum, I signed the required contract to talk trash about Michigan, but I appreciate Michigan too much to put much feeling into it.

I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

Ha ha nice. I become a huge OSU fan once a year, whenever they play U of M!

Very good and interesting report with top quality pictures. I have seen some of this area you covered and remember things by reading this report. Thanks.

Entertaining read and great photos. 1984 is a bit heavy to read on a solo trip...

Hi, MichiganMan/fellow Spartan. :-)

I had looked at the photos of your trip several days ago, but this afternoon I took the time to read your very well-written report. It is an area where we have been, so that always helps, but the way you told your story made me feel like I was along on the trip. (except for the fishing parts, as we dont' fish.)

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like a wonderful adventure!

Thanks for taking the time to write your report. I really enjoyed reading it & hope to get to that area some day. Amazing how the rain can affect a trip. It seems you handled it very well! Well played.

How did you like to Royalex? That's what I'm renting too. Have paddled Kevlar many times but thought I'd try something different. I know it's heavier but I'm going easy on portages.
