Entry Point 51 - Missing Link Lake

Missing Link Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 45 miles. Access is a canoe landing at Round Lake with a 142-rod portage to Missing Link Lake. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Very nice report and good photos. Glad that you didn't pay a price for eating dinner in the tent on night 2 - and a fish dinner no less. Not a recommended practice.

I was certainly apprehensive about eating in the tent, not really sure what our other options were at that point though. Thankfully nothing came of it.

Nice photos. I enjoyed reading your trip report. I was on Rose Lake when the storm came through on Wednesday evening, just as my group was finshing cooking dinner. Heavy rain, wind, and lighning nearby. Thursday it was windy for most of the day, then settled down for some nice fishing just before dinner.
