Entry Point 37 - Kawishiwi Lake

Kawishiwi Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Isabella; Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 33 miles. Access is a boat landing at Kawishiwi Lake.

Nice pictures. The weather looked perfect for your trip. I'm still trying to get a bird to eat out of my hand. I've had Downey woodpeckers within about two feet on a branch but they won't take that final short flight to my hand. Oh well.

Nice! I love that trip. There are some great sites on Cherokee.


You must have been in the first week of October, because the second week was really warm.

LOL Bannock!!!!!!! At least you didn't see me out there in my Undies.....
But I did strip down and get cleaned up in the lake Brrrrrrrrrrrrr not sure f a pic was taken or not................................................... and not sure if it matter the water was so cold ....lol

Great pictures. Looks like a fun trip. The site you show from Cherokee looks like where we stayed in June. Even if it isn't I fell in love with the beauty of that lake.

Again, great trip report.
