Trip Introduction:
Fantastic trip to Lake Polly. Great campsites on Lake Polly. Water level is down. Some of the short portages on the Kawishiwi became longer (20 rod became 40 ).

Report

The trip is a fairly easy one with only one longer (189 rod) portage. We stayed 8 days. The weather was hot and rainy. Fishing wasn't the best on account of the unsettled weather. It was stormy - a lot of thunder and lightning. The best walleye fishing is in the channel on the left side of the 2nd island. A good campsite is in the NW corner nearest the portage heading into Koma. Had a great time - there were 6 of us. Saw moose, eagles, peregrine, kestrel, loons, otters, etc. The water level is low on the K. River - some of the portages became a bit longer. The 20 rod is now 40+.
