Trip Introduction:
This slide show tells the story of our May 22 - May 30 canoe trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Northern Minnesota. It was yet another great trip!
Alan, Paul and I entered at Moose River North and leisurely paddled towards Iron Lake. Since we only had 3 guys, Alan and Paul paddled Paul's Souris River Quetico and I paddled my Northstar Northwind solo.
We saw a wolf, a bear and many swans this trip. We also ate several meals of fish, along with fresh morel mushrooms a couple times.
Because of lots of rain before and during the first part of our visit, the rivers were high. That caused some of the portages to be a bit of a challenge.
Due to an ongoing Search and Rescue operation on Iron Lake we decided to only go as far as Lac la Croix.
